Hello,   I  Received the information below from a fellow breeder who came across it  on  a breeder  group list - I've been busy and not had  chance to catch up with the list postings.  Please pass it along to anyone you know with cats and to your veterinarians.   It is also a good idea if you have dogs and  livestock to pay attention more in the future also after vaccination. Remember to report any and all vaccine reactions to your vet!   And then report them to the FDA yourselves as it is common for veterinarians to "forget" or brush it aside. If there is no records of adverse vaccine reactions, they will just say it is likely an isolated incidence so please report them.  It is to the benefit of your animals as well as other's. Those responsible should be held accountable when a valuable animal is lost.  

 Also, if you must vaccinate,  please ask for Non-Adjuvant vaccines as they are far safer than typical conventional vaccines. Most vaccine makers offer them and many vets are using them now, just ask !  And double check with your vet to be sure - look up what they are using for your own peace of mind or call the manufacturer.    I also ask my kitten adopters before any future vaccination, to ask for an Immunity Titre test ( not the Disease Titre test ).  Many animal owners are able to avoid vaccines for many years using this test as it can show if your animal has sufficient immunity. Some animals may show a low Titre but that may not mean they have a weak immunity, could just be their body is different. Nonetheless, it is worth doing to avoid unnecessary vaccination and the health issues they cause.

 Please learn about Vaccinosis ( vaccine induced reactions ) and  Immunity Titre testing, and implement it, for the health of your animals. I've no doubt many of the vaccines  that contribute to cancers, seizures, aggression, etc. also cause Cardiomyapathy and other heart issues as even the Human Small pox vaccine was banned after it was found to contribute to heart problems.   If you  have learned about Homeopathy - and use the correct remedy with an animal immediately after a vaccine ( including Non-Adjuvant vaccines as they may be safer but still a risk )  to ward off potential side effects, you have a better chance of avoiding something like this.   Self education is empowerment. There is nothing  out there you cannot learn.

Fort Dodge Disaster UPDATE

Hello Everyone,

A few weeks ago I posted the following:

"I want to report a disaster which I believe was caused by the Fort
Dodge Fel-O-Vax PCT vaccine, which is a 3-way killed virus
vaccine.

I vaccinated 12 kittens on 20 October. On 25 October I noticed two
healthy, vigorous kittens looking listless and not interested in
food. On 26 October one of them vomitted a yellow fluid four times.
In the morning of 27 October I started them both on subcutaneous
fluids. The kitten who had vomitted then had diarrhoea twice and was
very weak. By the afternoon he was comatose. He died a
few hours later. This whole process from being a seemingly well
kitten to a dead kitten was around 48 hours. He was 4.5 months old.
The other sick kitten made a full recovery.

I took the body of the dead kitten for an autopsy. My vet diagnosed
panleucopenia as cause of death. The histology should confirm that.

I am convinced that the vaccination caused my kitten's death from
panleukopenia. The incubation period for panleukopenia is 4 to 10
days. My kittens showed their first signs of illness four and a half
days after vaccination.

I caution everyone against using Fort Dodge Fel-O-Vax PCT. It was
the batch with serial number 162313A."

UPDATE: The histology report from the lab confirmed the vet's
diagnosis. My kitten died from panleukopenia.
I reported this to Fort Dodge and to the FDA.

There is no way my kitten could have gotten panleukopenia from some
outside source. The vaccine is the only way they could have been
infected. Perhaps this does not happen very often, but I am very sad
to say that this is what happened in my case.

I have heard from some people saying they do not believe a cat can
get panleukopenia from a killed virus vaccine. I was emailed
privately by many more people whose experiences bear out my
allegations and they had a lot more deaths than I did from both the
killed virus and modified live virus vaccines made by Fort Dodge.

I strongly advice that breeders and pet owners AVOID using Fort
Dodge vaccines. Please spread the word.
