We add additional Taurine (2.85%) to all supplements to help support the heart. Raw meat has Taurine in it but now days we aren’t sure how much is in raw meats.
Special note: If you are using raw liver in the recipe you can not find raw liver at your local grocery store; ask your butcher for it. When raw liver is pureed in a blender or food processor it is well liked in our recipe even when a cat won’t eat it alone.
Our premixes are not meant to be sprinkled on raw meats, added just to water or other foods; you can harm you pet by using our supplements that way. Please use and prepare our raw diets as directed. Our feline and dog supplements are designed to be combined with raw meat, raw liver and water. Only then do our products represent a safe, nutritionally balanced raw meat diet for your feline and dog.
There is no need for additional supplements in this raw meat diet for cats and dogs other than your veterinarians’ addition of holistic remedies and natural supplements. In fact, additional supplements like Vitamin C (acidic) can over acidify your feline system and cause oxalate crystals in the urine which will lead to blocking urine flow.
Feline Instincts does not claim our supplements cure any feline or canine diseases.
